Our Mission Statement

The NSHEA represents a growing number of families committed to quality education of their children at home.

The purpose of the organization is:

  1. to safeguard the rights of homeschooling families,
  2. to promote the awareness of homeschooling within the province, and
  3. to represent their interests at provincial and local levels.

We welcome your support in achieving these goals.

NSHEA is non-denominational and inclusive. It represents families that have a wide variety of reasons for educating their children at home and use many diverse methods to accomplish their goals.

A Hershey Homeschoolers Track & Field Meet!

ALL school-aged homeschoolers (grade P-12) are invited to participate in our meet. 

This is a grassroots Track & Field Program with events taking place all over North America.  There will be sprints, a middle distance race, standing long jump and the ball throw.  

No special equipment or experience required.

The cost to participate is $5 per child (with a maximum of $20 per family).  However, if this fee would prevent any child from taking part, it will be waived. 

Don't be late, registration is at 9:30AM sharp!  Pack your lunch and sneakers and aim to arrive in Wolfville early so you don't miss a thing!

For all those between the ages of 9 and 14, there is also a provincial Hershey Final taking place on June 23rd.  More information will be available at our meet.

Registration takes place on site, however please email your intention to participate (# of children and ages) to help us prepare.  For more information and to sign up as a parent to help on the day, please contact;
